Ok don't go to the market, go to the restaurant two doors down. Best tacos I've had in Evansville by far. Street tacos were fantastic, I had the carnitas and barbacoa. Staff was friendly and service was good. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Did you know that the market has hot, fresh tamales in coolers in the front? In the back, there is a taqueria and you can order fresh corn tortillas right off the griddle, homemade salsa fresca, Caldo de Res, tacos de carne asada, carnitas, pollo asada, you name it. Also, if you eat in, they make their own fresh tortilla chips which are the BEST in town. The salsa is spicy! The tacos are amazing. Get the hot tortillas to go and eat them at home. I have been here almost 9 years and this is the best I have found. Prior to this, La Campirana was the leader, but El Paisano Market is more convenient for me, so I often hit it on the way home. Also, fresh, hot Chiccarone? If you haven't tried it, you'll thank me!
